Food Club Presentation

The Agora, an upcoming venture in the greater Chattanooga area, is hosting a presentation event for their Food Club that will start up in August. The Agora will be a hub for alternative movements and will eventually host classes and workshops, have an open market, grow fruits and vegetables, make natural products, and much more. It is currently being remodeled and set up but the core component, the Food Club, will begin early at a small scale.
The Food Club sources food for members from sources that are as local and as natural as reasonably possible. We have suppliers lined up for real milk, grass fed beef, pasture raised chicken and turkey, naturally raised pork, naturally grown produce, salad mix, dairy products, some baked goods, grain, seasonal fruits, freeze dried fruits, treats, and more. The goal is to build out local supply chains for natural, real food. We want to support the local farmers and local members who care about the quality and contents of their food. As we grow, we plan to grow our offerings and suppliers so that we can eventually be the main source for our members’ grocery needs. We are partnering with at least one other food club and are helping a few small scale natural farmers get set up to be able to scale with us and grow into the farms they wish to be. The vast majority of our offerings will be sourced from within an hour of our location. Due to the regulatory nature of the food industry, we will not be able to source food for the general public. The Food Club will be strictly for members who will set up an account with us and ideally come by weekly to pick up their food needs. Instead of having to sourcing raw milk from one location, local produce from another, pasture meat in bulk from another, and still needing to use suppliers like Azure standard and/or a grocery store to get quality food for the family, The Agora’s Food Club will have these available all in one place, with verified quality, sourced locally, and will be able to grow and adapt to meet the needs of its members. Our prices are comparable to organic products at local grocery stores (but much higher quality) and local markets, if not cheaper.
This presentation will be for explaining more about how we will be structured, what we will be providing, and what the member experience will look like. We will also be getting feedback on what else potential members would like and how we can make the experience as convenient and helpful as possible. The Food Club is planning on launching at a small scale in August and we will be accepting our first round of members from this presentation. More spots will likely be available for those who cannot attend but the priority will go to those who sign up in person, then any extra spots will be made available to others.

It’s the yellow house with the garage in the back and lots of pretty landscaping with Japanese Maples in the front. It is in between the new apartment complex, Lullwater, and the commercial stores just north of it.
Parking will be easiest if you pull in at the gravel drive that is beside and just to the right of the main driveway. You can pull off angled to the right then swing around through the main driveway when you leave.
